Our
extensive library of training tools has been
developed to help your agency communicate
effectively with all employees about workplace
safety and related risk management policies and
procedures.
We are constantly adding and improving features of
our online program. Many of our improvements and new
features are suggestions from our users and
administrators. Online training has been designed as
a tiered management and control system, starting
with users, department managers, and agency
administrator and finally in a multi-agency setting
such as a JPA, a senior administrator.
Most of the online training courses have been
approved by the California Water Environment
Association (CWEA) for contact hour credit for CWEA
professional certification requirements.
Certificates of Completion for courses approved by
the CWEA will show the contact hour credit and CWEA
approval code.

training can be used for new hires, retraining after
an incident, refresher, and general awareness or as
part of the agency’s safety incentive program.

In-Person Training Online Management
Continuing with our theme of helping agencies manage and
meet their compliance and training needs, the In-person
Training tool will allow agencies to manage, track and
document in-person training as if it is an online
training course. With this tool, your employee in-person
training is documented and managed in the same database
as your online training records. Users and department
managers can view past, currently due and future
scheduled in-person training courses.
New Employee Training Requirements Advisor
Use this tool to identify the specific training
requirements for your new or existing employees based on
their job duties, equipment and hire date.
Accurate and documented training of employees has become
very important since Assembly Bill 1127 approved the use
of CalOSHA regulations and citations to be used in civil
courts to establish an employer's negligence.. This
tool will guide the user, using plain English questions,
through a point and click process that will determine
whether or not over 50 different regulations apply to a
particular employee or job title.
Since CalOSHA’s training requirements also include a
mandate that employer's train employees on the equipment
and tasks they are to perform, this tool lists over 150
pieces of equipment that the user can select. Finally,
recognizing that every organization has unique
equipment, processes, and policies, this tool allows the
user to enter organization-specific information, as
well.
